Yum! Started with the green scallion pancake and then had the braised pork belly. The pancake was light and crispy, not what I was expecting, but it was very good. The pork belly came with mushrooms and quail eggs. An interesting, delicious combination. I love this place. It may seem pricey but remember tip is included in the pricing.
I came upon this restaurant after walking for an hour, very hungry and having had quite a terrible morning. They seated me quickly and gave me a tall glass of water and the menu. The lunch specials are all 10.95 (super affordable!) and give you enough food to feed yourself (I know the photo looks sparse, but I took it partway through eating!) The music they put on is lovely, and a volume gentle to the ears but enough that other parton’s chatter is background noise, and the food is quite literally the best I’ve had this year! It took my morning and turned it right around. I’m writing this review in the middle of my meal, but I know I will leave relaxed and ready to go on with my day. Thank you Taqueria El Prieto! Made my day.
The food here is absolutely delicious! My friend and I were so happy from the meal. Get the crispy shredded sesame beef and fried rice, both outstanding. The pan fried veggie dumplings were so good too. Everything we ordered was excellent and this is coming from a Mexico person! Very nice staff and customer service. Definitely coming back asap!
